from left,
I am thrilled that my SASFED council colleague from WGSA - Writers' Guild of South Africa
www.writersguildsa.org , Cati Weinek, will be serving together with me as Co-Chairperson.
On the right;
Together with our SASFED Executive Officer Unathi Malunga we will work diligently to lead SASFED with integrity,
foster consensus around the issues of critical importance to our South African independent film and television production industry.
Taking the reins at this time is made easier by the groundwork laid by previous Co-Chairs; Tarryn Edwards PMA - The Personal Managers' Association
www.thepma.co.za and Quinton Fredericks IPO - The Independent Producers Organisation
www.ipo.org.za and their right-hand powerhouse, The SASFED Council.
I am thrilled to share with you all the leadership of our SASFED Council, where most of our work is achieved. Our current membership of ten independent film and television production industry organisations, associations and guilds, are in ultimate control of SASFED via their allocated Council Member, who make up what is known as
the SASFED Council. The Council meets regularly to discuss industry issues between the organisations and also work proactively with other industry associations.
The Co-Chairpersons and Treasurer are elected annually from the Council in terms of the SASFED Constitution, which guides that individuals may not join SASFED directly, but only via bona fide industry bodies.
